Just signed up to my first 10km (Race for Life) in June. Very excited but bit apprehensive - any tips as this is my first attempt at this distance?

Hi Nellie, I see from your posting history that you have run 5k and have found ju-ju's Magic plan. If you follow this you should be ready for the event. I got to 10k last year following the Magic plan and then kept the pattern going doing a long run once a week (not always 10k). I did my first event at the begging of the month at the London Winter Run, my advice is just to really enjoy it on the day. If you've done the distance you'll know you can get to the end.
