I can't believe it ... I've now been running for two whole years!
14th Feb 2017, as a life long non-runner, just as it was getting light I went out for my first C25k run with the lovely Laura.
Baring illness and a couple of minor calf problems I've been running 3 times a week ever since. I've never given up on a run ... I wouldn't dare stop or walk, I'm too scared I wouldn't get started again!
I plod along keeping the snails company and I've still to achieve the elusive 5k in 30 mins but I've increased my distance and have run 10k several times. Ok, I know that's not a great achievement compared to many of you but I'm happy with that. My 61 (nearly 62) year old body seems to be holding up!
Knowing I wouldn't have time to run today I ran a celebratory 10k yesterday ... and it was good! ... 7 degrees, light breeze, hazy sunshine and for the first time I managed to speed up a tad for the last 0.5k.
Although I haven't posted in a while I try to read the forum everyday. Your posts continue to encourage, inspire and reassure me. When the gremlins are playing havoc with my mojo I focus on the things I've read and your wise words see me through so I say thank you to you all for getting me this far.
Happy running everyone!
