Wow this morning was busy at my local PR which is fantastic to see and it was a great atmosphere with loads of people offering support to first timers and people who were finding it a little tough.
Course time was 33:49 which I am pleased with, better still I noticed that i got faster with each KM and my last was at a pace of 6:23 which is good going for me.
Tailwalking next week as I am doing a 5k night race and then marshalling the week after as I am booked for a 10k night race so I look forward to running again at the end of Jan

So nice to hear the first timers are getting support, I do the first timers briefing at my parkrun and I try and make them feel at ease as much as possible.
So your second half of the run might have been a negative split from what you say! Apparently that’s good!
I don’t know if it’s down to New Years resolutions but we had a record attendance of 620 runners this morning , and ran out of tokens after 600, so they had to write the details down for the last 20.
