First ever 7k! Hard work

Completed my first ever 7k run on week 3 of Ju-Ju's plan. Found it very hard but kept going and surprisingly my pace at the end was sameness as first 1k ( slow but steady I guess) Does it get any easier? Happy to accept any tips before I set out in Week 4.

Well done Cathkinboy, 7k is a huge achievement. My only advice is to keep on taking those long runs slowly. Some runs do feel harder than others. Feel free to take extra rest days if you need them. Not all runs have to be done in a calendar week.

I have been trying to go slower than my usual pace for the first few km.

I've also been keeping an eye on my weather app, and tried to plan for the long run on the least windy day (we need all the help we can get)

Irishprincess told me if you can do 7 you can do 10, and who can doubt her?

Good luck for the next few weeks, and yes, I think it is getting a bit easier. 😶

Well done Cathkinboy and yes what Dexy5 said. I’ve just done Week 4 and was better able to handle 8k than my 7k. Keep it slow. 👍
