I was hoping to be sprinting along the promenade most mornings in my leggings and ‘Edinburgh’ top. The reality was a pretty pathetic jog/walk past the empty bars and restaurants and a feeling of ‘why do I bother’ perhaps at 66 years old with a heart condition I should just stop pretending I can be fit again. Tomorrow I will go out again and this time I will feel dynamic. NO SURRENDER TO OLD AGE!!!
Ps See you at happy hour tomorrow!

Holiday running can be quite hard as we make ourselves promises and paint such rosy little vignettes of running through the sand, or up a dune and so on, whereas the reality can be sweaty, muddy and altogether hard work when there are such lures as sun lounger and gin and tonics around. Well done for running at all.
I would love to run around the trudos mountains though, but last time I was there there were swarms of millions of grasshopper sized flying bugs, it was like a stephen king movie hehe.
It sounds great! Well done for running on hols - there are so many distractions, so the fact you got out was brilliant. Enjoy your next run and all your holiday fun! 😀👍 You are a runner and of course you should bother! 👊
No reason you shouldn’t still feel great. Every run adds to your fitness so you still achieved today! Do you wear things you feel good in? I find that helps.
