I think Iโd stop for a pint but shots on the hoof! ๐
Agreed UNM, my hip flask never leaves my side ๐ฅโก๏ธ
I have a few of those... only two hips though... would it be wrong to fill up a camelbak? ๐
Looks like Iโm doing a 4K beer run in the summer... Iโd best get training ๐โโ๏ธ ๐บ ๐โโ๏ธ ๐บ
๐๐๐ Sounds great! This one caught my eye when I was looking at HM's ...nice bit of bling too: findarace.com/events/the-ci...
13 miles 13 Ciders ...sensibly opted for Southampton instead ๐
Oh... that would be a great one to take in on my journey to marathondumedoc.com/en/
...Now we're talking!!!

I drink on the run mostly but if it's particularly hot and it's a long scenic run then I'll stop several times to sip water and take some photos. If it's a race then I never stop! It depends on the circumstances but on a normal everyday run then I'll drink on the go.
I will stop to drink, especially if Iโm outside! Mainly because I stop at the water fountains, but I havenโt yet mastered the art of drinking and walking at the same time. I did used to feel guilty, and it took a while before I realised that the only person I was racing against was myself. Itโs also really important to keep hydrated throughout the run, not just before it!
Enjoy your running ๐โโ๏ธ

When I am out in the woods I take sips on walk breaks and i do stop too. This is just how i choose to run and it works for me. So I suggest doing what works for you

I've done both but find in winter I tend to drink at a walk because I don't always get all the fluid in my mouth and when the temps are below freezing, I don't need my chin any colder than it is. Sometimes drinking while running, I end up having to stop anyways because I've inhaled the water and am now coughing and sputtering ๐. Running and drinking is a skill I don't always excel at ๐. Do whatever works for you and don't worry if it includes walking to drink. It's still a run and counts as a run, with walking breaks or not. My summer trail runs involve lots of stopping to catch my breath after a hard hill climb or to just take in the beauty of my surroundings. I no longer worry that a run has to be continuous to "count". A run is a run is a run.

I generally drink on the move so as not to break my rhythm, if I stop I might not start again! But there are no rules (though I'd think I was cheating myself if I stopped my watch) so do what suits you best.

I stop

There arenโt any rules, do what feels right for you. I only take water out if itโs hot or I am doing more than an hour of running, but when I do drink I walk whilst doing it as I canโt seem to get it in otherwise.
