It was the end of week 3 of ju-ju’s plan for me and guess what my treat is? Betya can’t. Dictionary definition of treat is an event or item that is out of the ordinary and gives great pleasure. Chocolate works for me! 😍 They are only eaten at Christmas as they don’t make them here in NZ (probably just as well) and this little cutie was hiding in the pantry. Wonder who did that?
A very windy run this morning with a little misty rain, which wasn’t forecast, but did the first 2.5k with the wind behind me and then turned for home weirdly my splits were faster running into the wind. Don’t know where this new determination has come from, but I’m liking it.
Had Spotify choose my running music today, which was great, the cool down walk song La Carretera was a tune which I recognised from when my grandaughter and I used to play Wii Zumba a few years back sadly neither she nor I have her mother’s rhythm! (Daughter used to do jazz ballet) but we used to have a giggle in spite of.
On Wii it was an instrumental and I thought it sounded like the most romantic song ever, so looked up the English translation and blimey! its a very sad guy singing about still missing his ex, says she was his entire life and now I quote “I am drowning in alcohol” talking of which a little pinot might go down quite nicely with the chocolate after tea. Happy running everyone 🤓

Thank you!! Yes, it was Parkrun for me! Had to be up and out early.....this time. Got parking....... for once and I completed. Wet and slow, but done!! ✅
Thanks Cheeky, so looking forward to next week, was always a glass half empty person, but getting out to run is so life changing. Lets hope 8k doesn’t wipe the grin off my face. 😊
Ah that’s fabulous Lexi. Well done.⭐️👏. And So love chocolate too. I have a secret stash of 2 chocolate oranges, matchmakers and a tub of heroes which I am hiding from my boys. I hide them in my cleaning cupboard. Funny they never go in that cupboard.
Ah I like that hiding place. Must try that. My other favourite is hiding a bar of chocolate in the All bran cereal box. They never touch that either. 😂
Sorry, that was a bit misleading, they send a daily mix of random songs, based on what I like and I just put it on shuffle. Bit like Kinder, always a surprise. 🙂
Thanks Flick, must say I was very restrained, shared some with OH and put the rest away. What has come over me? The Christmas before last I bought six oranges 🐷and made a chocolate cheesecake. Fudge is up there as one of my faves too. Xx
It wasn’t entirely successful, the chocolate didn’t melt very well, but it still tasted yummy. I loooove cheesecake. I made two at Christmas salted caramel for the kids and a Mojito and Lime for the grownups Xx
Well done Lexi , you are definitely going to to this, but I don’t expect that chocolate will last until you get to 10k. You will have to find another reward to hide in the pantry.
🍫🍊🏃♀️👏👏👏
I’ve just had a homemade energy bar which I made from Sandraj39s recipe (3 months ago) delicious. I am going to have to freeze them so they don’t get eaten in a week.
Your bar sounds way healthier and yummy Dexy. Yes I think another treat will have to found for the 10k attempt. Might need more sustenance than chocolate I think. 🤓
Chocolate out of the ordinary? Blimey! I eat it most days (although a lot less in Australia as it was so hot it would have melted). Terry’s chocolate oranges used to be made in York, now I think they are made in the Czech Republic 🇨🇿, and they’re not Terry’s, they’re MINE 😜
😂😂 I have to or I wouldn’t be able to stop eating the stuff. Its amazing how such a lot of stuff I remember from my childhood in the UK is made elsewhere. I always use McVities digestives in my cheesecakes and I think they’re still made in UK?
