It appears all is not lost

Following my "I'm broken" post it seems the knee is not as sinister as I feared. I got a lucky break and got a physio appointment earlier than expected. A really nice guy who is a triathlete so I assume he knows what he's talking about. The injury turns out to be wear and tear. Too much too soon? Too many hills? Too many downhill runs? Basically I've put too much load on the weakest side of my body(again). Exercises and gentle running should get me back on track in no time. I genuinely feared the worst and expected surgery so I got away with it this time. Lesson learnt so take heed next time you feel you have an extra 5 K in you!!!! I've found out the hard way. It could've been worse. The physio told me he had 3 YEARS OFF running due to trying to train through an injury. Thanks all for your kind words.

Quick, I'm not so sure. Hopefully it will be easy though. 😀

Did my first round of exercise yesterday and I can really feel it in the thighs. Gentle run planned for later so will see how I go. 15 minutes maximum run time is going to feel very strange.
