Happy new year everyone! Just re started with weight training after few months as this is gonna help with my running too. I am thinking of doing it once a week and then running 2-3 times a week. Is this the right approach or should I increase my weight training? I can run 10k easily though usually do 5-6k due to time constraints etc.

Happy New year to you Priyanka03. If you feel comfortable with your present weight training and general exercises I don't really think you need to increase your weight training, you don't want to stress out yourself unnecessary. I think at present you are taking the correct approach, however, if you wish to increase your training do it slowly and gradually. 😊

Thanks AIMorr. I will keep to my current schedule. It works well with my work life balance too.

Once a week is fine if that's all you can do and it's a lot better than none at all. When I'm in a routine I'll do twice a week but some weeks this drops to just once because life just gets in the way. Do you have any free weights at home as this can be useful because you can do a few exercises any time?

Yes Irishprincess I have few weights at home. Just don't get much motivation to do any exercise at home. I will have to motivate myself to do it. At least once a week. Or I can try yoga too
