Lazy Jones checking in 😀 first run today since the first week in December 🥴. I volunteered to walk my friends dog every day for three weeks whilst she was away so I did at least get an hour of power walking in every day and I can now poop scoop with out gagging .
So out today and managed 5K, last K was hard but a reasonable 34 mins... dog walking kept me fit.
I’ve realised that I just can’t run in the dark I hate it.. roll on the clocks changing .
Congratulations on that good time for running a 5K, most of my 5K times have been around that time, I agree that running in the dark isn't a good idea, roll on the brighter evening's.
I like the cold but once it gets dark I just want a cave and a box set !

My fingers went through the poo bag the first time and I threw up in a hedge so i went out and bought industrial strength bags.. worst job ever 🤮

That is pretty gross but at least on a cold morning there is the bonus of a picking up a little hand warmer. Just keep it wrapped up and you’d never know. 😂

I'm totally with you on the whole running in the dark thing. Most of my running routes are through fields or along the canal, no lights, and I get rather nervous if I can't see, Don't want to fall in the canal, don't want to get attacked, would really like to be able to see what I'm about to trip over!!!!

Yes, roll on longer days! I agree. If you can keep your fitness up during the winter you'll be ready for summer running.
With the bright intensity of modern LED lights,you can have the sun in your pocket. Obviously not much use in your pocket so get a headtorch and / or a chest light and away you go! 😸
