I'm wondering if you've gone? I am the Queen of Procrastination so I can totally relate to your post! I haven't however managed anyway near a 10k like you ~ but does it really matter how far "this" run takes you? So long as you get out there and get started πŸ€—

Hey stop beating your self up.

No matter how disaplined we try to be life gets in the way at times.

Get ur running shoes on & get out even for 15mins.

It’s amazing how you get back into it. You can do this.

Make your initial target something short, undaunting and easily achievable - once you achieve it, you can carry on if you're feeling good, if not you've set a benchmark for next time.

Shortish laps in a park probably better than an out and back, where you might spend the out worrying about the back!

Good luck :-)

Chances are you’ve lost a little endurance, but by what I’ve read I’d think you have 5k in you. The advice I read for aiming back into training after 1-3 months out was to reduce weekly mileage and long run buy 40%.

Hope you have/had a good run.
