My six year old granddaughter was keen to come out with me on my run. She bounced along and asked me if my heart was beating faster to make me healthier (in 66 and had heart surgery two years ago). We did two kilometres and I gave her one of my 10k medals. When the cold wind blew she said ' this wind is fun', oh to have the mind of a six year old.

Pure joy..what a wonderful run..may we all run with joy of a child xx
How lovely to run with your granddaughter.
That’s wonderful! Love it. She will treasure that medal. 😀
Amazing... if only we knew at 6! What a great run, sharing it with your granddaughter... that’s what C25K did! She’s obviously wise before her age asking that about your heart rate and I bet she’s very proud of you. I hope you have many runs with her, you can keep inspiring each other.
This is beautiful! 💕 How lovely to run with your granddaughter - she sounds like a sweetheart. x
What a lovely memory to have made with your granddaughter. The next time I'm running in the wind and gritting my teeth, I'll hear this little voice telling me "this wind is fun". Maybe that will make it more tolerable to think of it from the mind of a child.
I think feeling old is just a mindset thing 😃
I was roped into going out with my five year old great nephew the other day for “races”. He got to ride his bike and I had to race him on foot. We had a series of chases round the cul de sac. he was a terrible cheat 😁😁
We got well tired but we had such fun. I am only too glad that I can now do this stuff.
He has a little brother age 2 and when indoors we play balloon football 🥅 ⚽️ 🥅 Cushions for goalposts It is very giddy and we get very hot and silly 🙂
Love this! 😍
I hope you share many more bouncy, care free runs together!
