Recommendations on best way to progress

I finished the C25k several months ago and have been repeating week 9 since then. I now feel ready to move on and attempt a longer distance. As a side note my runs seem to now be a bit under the 5k - I likely need to pick up the pace a bit.

I am still using the app as I find it gives me structure, consistency and motivation. Is there a similar app to progress to 10k please?

Thanks

Jim

Well done for consolidating, this will build a strong platform for your future running.

You could do our own ju-ju- 's 10K plan which you'll find on the pinned posts here. Or you could do your own thing by mixing up your runs each week.

1x 5K, 1x shorter hills or speed or intervals and the 1x longer run. Increase your long run very slowly and don't increase your total weekly mileage by more than 10% or less.

Enjoy the ride and post here for support and company as there'll be others at the same stage.

Good for you - lots of people seem to have a wobble at the consolidation stage. You evidently have the discipline of running well sussed! 😄

I agree with Irishprincess, also have you discovered the C25K+ podcasts? Someone with better technical skills than me will give you the link I’m sure! 😄
