I'm consolidating my couch to 5k which I finished in Nov. I run off road up and down hills some pretty steep and threw woods/heathland, I'm not even really sure what that is called? Is it cross country? trail? I'm in the Surrey hills so it's not 'wild' just up and down.
I've found myself naturally doing a faster run - bit longer run due to time/daylight, So I thought I'd try Juju's plan in the new year.
I'm assuming I go by my distance rather than the time I run for? So I'm looking for an android app that will help me know my distance?
Perhaps tell me when I'm 1/2 way threw so I know when to head back. Is that how they work? I'm a total newbie to all of this!
I have a mii band 2 so might be nice if it could sync with that.. I'm pushed for time in the mornings so ideally want something easy that dosn't need much faf or set up.

A lot of us use Strava (me included), or there are plenty more - Runtastic, MapMyRun, Endomondo etc. Search in Google Play for "running gps" or suchlike.
I think Endomondo possibly will connect with a Mi band.
You can also use the websites of apps like Endomondo to plot a route of a particular distance so you can figure out when to turn back by doing that. Or make a circular route!
Endomondo is basic but it does talk to you. You input how far you want to run. It tells you pace per km and it lets you know when you’ve finished. It’s free too and you can link up with pals
If you have the sort of telephone that has apps, then I’d suggest getting Strava as it’s dead easy and there is a huge group of us over there that can support you too. Or get a Garmin but it sounds like you have a fitness watch already? I’m so pleased you are going to join us on the plan, the next one starts on the 11th of Jan. And your trail sounds perfect, I run in the woods solely at weekends and whenever I can.... well done on your progress too 😎
