Ok, so having had a sprained ankle and then has a bad cold I’m inching to restart running again. I’ve still got the remnants on my chest though - should I get going again or wait for it to clear??

Wait..the runs will..Chest issues mean no runs...I had to wait until yesterday to run...after my last run on 11th November...it was worth the wait..

If you are starting to feel better, give it another day or two. No hurry! And think how gutted you will be if you find you have a hard run because you are not quite 100% and even worse, you set yourself back a bit? I have run with a cold before but only when the symptoms are neck up i.e. snotty nose - weirdly running help ease my congestion! But if it’s on your chest, best to wait. Take care. x
Thanks ladies - great advice as ever

I’d be tempted to wait until you’re feeling 100% better Jen. I took a few days off a few weeks ago due to a tiny sniffle, and when I thought it had gone adequately I attempted an easy 4k run. It felt awful, and whereas I didn’t give up, I felt like doing so several times. 🤧
The runs will be there waiting for you, so take care of yourself first! 🏃♀️👍😀
