So much stuff going on in my life im not ready for 10K training, maybe in New Year, right now think I just need to stick to 5ks and improving time etc.

Just a bridge to far when it came to stepping up right now

I would just go with how you feel. Maybe mix it up with some intervals and shorter faster runs mixed in with 5ks. Anything to add interest really. I am sticking with the 10k plan because I think that long slow runs are the way to go for me given my age, and I really enjoy it. I have re started the plan having done lots of between run strengthening exercises. It certainly feels easier second time around. I am sure you will work it out. 😊

Id say go with what u feel .... And not force it or won't be enjoyable. As Beachcomber66 says maybe mix it up too. Happy running

Don't think of it as bailing! It's really wise to listen to your body and consolidate til you are ready :)

Sorry you’re leaving the plan, but it’s not going anywhere and you can always hop back on at some point in the future.

Enjoy your 5ks. Running is beneficial, but it also needs to be enjoyable, so that sounds like the way to go for you.

Good luck! 😀

There’s no rush, take your time, important thing is to enjoy it. Here’s to running in 2019.

Don't worry Glen, not everyone is ready to step up within a month of graduating. I didn't join the Bridge for over 3 months and some even longer. You'll know if and when it is right for you. Just keep running and enjoying those parkruns

I think a fast five is hard and the way to make it easier is to train for 10. Further puts slow mileage on the legs, helping to build them and make them stronger for the harder work of getting faster. Further faster, in that order 🙂.

If time is short then a quick 3k is great. You can do it in three parts too, eg slow, quick, slow

Whatever you do just keep running 💪👍😃

No point in carrying on if it isn’t helping you get through the other stuff. Just keep on running, having got this far, and do what feels good!

I say well done. It's tough making a decision sometimes especially when you have worked towards something. There are plenty of possibilities when it comes to picking your runs. If you want to improve your time try throwing in an interval run one a week. Hills are meant to be good for your strength too but I have to confess to avoiding then as much as possible.
