I've not posted for awhile, but I've been lurking and commenting. Anyway I thought I'd update things! Got to 9k on Bridge to 10k, but last week I started the training program for the Brighton Half marathon so distance has dropped for now. The program requires me to run for specific times rather than distance, but at some stage I will achieve that illusive 10K for sure.
Into week 2 today of the training schedule; 2 comfortable 20 minute runs and 1x 40 minute run, with at least a rest day between each run. Looking ahead it's going to get more demanding, but gotta do it - will do it π.
To all you others starting out on your preparations for a marathon or a half marathon, or a 10K or a 5k everyone in fact, enjoy your running, have fun and smile, it really helps πππ»

Wow Gran4z good for you! Thatβs a huge distance and commitment, and I donβt think there would be enough hours in the day for me ever to run a HM, but itβll be exciting watching your progress! ππ Please tell us how youβre getting on wonβt you? π
I did my first 10k yesterday. Isnβt running the best? πββοΈπββοΈππ
Yes, running is the best. Well done for the 10k, it feels so good to get to those milestones or should I say kilometerstones - new word for our forum ππ. Thanks, yes I will keep posting. You probably could do HM, and the madness will likely take over one of these days, so beware!! π
Kinda creeps up on you though! Good luck with the training, hope it all goes to plan - but you know what they say about best laid plans?!! Lol π³No we will be just fine, without doubt π
Just looked up when the Brighton Half takes place. Youβre going to be running a month ahead of me. Be great to follow your training? Iβm running the Bath Half in March..
