Its getting nearer to Doncaster 10k and I'm getting so negative keep thinking about pulling out doubting myself apparently the road reopens after 90 mins and I doubt I will be near finish then certainly expect to be last is there any other slow runners out there doing DONCASTER 10K?

Don't pull out! Races are the best fun. Yes the first one is a bit 😭😭 but honestly they're a blast and when you cross that finish line you'll feel epic!

No matter how many people are running a race just remember that it's your race and only yours, nothing else matters.

You could re-post this with "Doncaster 10K" as a header to see if anyone else here is doing it.

When is it?

You'll love it! Get there early to check out the route and join the toilets queue! Don't start off too fast, try to pace yourself, forget about others, think of the bling and the finish line. Oh, and take safety pins for your bib. Some organisers have them some don't.

Remember it's fun, don't doubt yourself, you've done the distance and you're a warrior 💪💪💪

Good luck.

Stop Worrying! It’s gonna be an absolute blast! Racing is FUN 💪😃👍🏃‍♀️

We race for fun, cake and medals. Some folk might take themselves deadly serious 🏃‍♀️🍰🏅🏃‍♂️ but I don’t know any 🤷‍♀️

Do it! You’ll flippin kick yourself if you don’t. I had a Wobble very early on when i was in a cold, hilly bit of a race, and I said to myself! “who the hell do I think i’m kidding”. But then, as if on cue, a squadron of more mature ladies came charging up and zoomed off ahead of me. It was a bitter cold Sunday morning and I wondered what i’d Be doing Otherwise 🧐🤔. The ironing, knitting, cooking, cleaning 🤷‍♀️ So I cheered up and gave chase 💪🏃‍♀️ I never saw them again, but it matters not. I had such bloody fun 😁

Good luck 💪👍😃🏃‍♀️

Don’t pull out!! You’ll forever be kicking yourself in the arse for doing so!! You’re not competing against anyone but yourself!! I think of the bun and bling at the end, I’m doing a run the week before Christmas and along with the bling you get a selection box😁👏👏. I tell ya, it’s gonna be my quickest race ever to get my hands in that bad boy. Now keep to your plans and go enjoy it, we’ve all got your back.
