So 2 runs down - I completed the 2.5k on Friday and went for the 5.5 which is the furthest I have ever run 😃on Monday as had the day off work. I've got the 3rd run lined up for tomorrow but after the 5.5 I've developed Back ache in my mid to upper back (I felt it start just after the 5k mark and prob should have stopped but carried on for the extra half 😩) and I'm a bit worried now about doing further damage tomorrow .....anyone else had this - a colleague at work said it might be down to running posture or trainers?? Thanks for any advice 👍

It could be posture, be conscious of how you hold yourself when you run. Don't tense up, head high and looking straight ahead, arms swinging forwards and backwards not across your chest, shoulders back, down and relaxed and pelvis neutral.
It might be worth looking at your shoes. Have you had gait analysis done?
It could be that your body is reacting to your longer distance. Many runners have aches and niggles after increasing distance so try again and maybe have an extra day's rest to see if that makes a difference.
But, well done on the run!
Thanks for the advice 😃 I did decide to take an extra days rest today so will run tomorrow and see how it feels.......I have had 'amateur' gait analysis done (I.e my hubby watched me on the treadmill 😂) Perhaps now im hopefully going to be running longer distances it's time for a professional opinion - any excuse for a bit of shopping for new trainers 😃 Thanks again 👍
