After an abort at Park Run yesterday after i woke feeling under the weather, everything was ok today and I set out to do a longer run, maybe about 12k.

I set out through Hazelrigg village and Wideopen planning a big loop to return to Dinnington from the north.

However part of the route was new to me and as the map shows the path I was on turned into a dead end and I had to double back.

So my planned 12 turned into 16. It felt pretty good until the last 3k when the legs went a bit, perhaps because I set out a little faster than I would have done on a planned 16k.

Still, very good prep for my final organised run of the year.

Run happy, run safe.

Well done Chris, fantastic distance - having the full 10 miles in the bag will really help on race day.🙂

I was thinking of doing that but it’s too far north. Good luck 👌🏽

Well done Chris ! Brilliant run once again. I know Hazelrigg and wide open very well having lived there so I know the dead end you mean.😁😁

Anyway well done and good luck for your race in three weeks.👍🏃‍♂️🤗🤗
