Well done !
I did my first 9k last Monday was also stiff but ran again Wednesday aiming to do 7 km, but had to stop at just under 4, ran a couple of shorter runs to get home, (i have had three failed runs since graduation and and done the same on each, in my head itās not a failed run itās a bespoke interval run
I do the park run each week and following the 10% rule but still pondering when to sign up for a ten k, Thinking spring maybe, have you committed yet ?
Always good to drop down to shorter distances like 5k for a couple of runs after a first 9K, just to lighten demands on the body. Having said that, if you can run 9K you are almost at 10. I also used the 10% rule to bridge from 5 to 10k (two 5k runs and then my long run at the weekend). If you keep those shorter runs down, you will be at 10k very soon - so start looking for that race to sign up to if I were you! Good luck!
I'm with you - I was thinking the Spring. I try to do a couple of Park Runs a month but haven't committed to any challenges yet.

Well done on your 9k run. I reckon you should hit that magic 10 on your next long run day!
