I've done it! But my God it was hard work. I don't know if it was lack of sleep or poor hydration, or just one of those days, but from 5k onwards I struggled.
I found a new route through the fields (and didn't get lost once. Maybe that's where I went wrong!)
I borrowed cheekychipmunks snails, but they were too fast for me today. And sorry Oldfloss , my feet did not kiss the ground, they slapped it. Not pretty.
But 'tis done. And I'm just starting to get that glow of achievement. Now, if you'll excuse me, I believe I have a badge to collect (wow, writing that is getting me excited!)
Happy running everyone!

Whoopee! Whoopee! Well done you! πππΎπ₯ππ ππ»πβοΈπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈ May the glow last a nice long time! I expect that another super glow will come when the shiny badge arrives! Congratulations! Enjoy your time on the podium and all the very best for your onward running journey! π
Thank you so muchπ. I shall try to climb onto that podium (couldn't have done it straight after the run, my legs ached so much!) Now to plan my next challenge....
Oh well done TC! ππ Iβm so happy for you, youβve done it! ππππ Even if it was hard work, you didnβt bail. You carried on and ran 10k and how incredible is that? Hope youβre on cloud 9 and having a glass of something bubbly to celebrate! ππππ₯π₯π₯
Now if you could send the boys back over to me, theyβre needed. ππππ Iβm going to tackle 8.5k or 9k in the morning (depends how it feels). Iβll need to be slower than slow, so Iβll need my buddies.
Thank you! Got the pre long run nerves kicking in which is how I felt last week! The snails and I will be out tomorrow morning! πββοΈππππππ
Well done to you Tartancat for running the full 10k distance, I know what you mean by struggling after 5k, I ran 5k this morning and no way could I have ran any further, I had a slight sore back which slowed me down a bit so certainly no PB today for me, in fact my run today was just over 37 minutes compared to my PB of 32.25 which I ran two weeks ago.
YAAAAY!!! Well done Tartancat! Step on up to that podium, then enjoy your celebrations!! ππππππβ€οΈβ€οΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ₯π₯πΎπ₯π
(And donβt worry - 10ks get easier, and your feet will behave better after theyβve done a few more. But just bask in your great achievement for now! πβ€οΈ)
Well done Tartancat! You did it! π₯π₯ππ. The 90mins of hard slog is worth it for the days of that feeling that you have achieved something amazing!
