I wasn't going to run today, I was going to stay in, avoid the weather and play the guitar...and that's what I did. I'm not very good at guitar so when I realised it wasn't raining, it wasn't cold and I hadn't eaten in the last 2 hrs off I went.
Took a rain jacket (wish I hadn't, it was too warm to wear it once I'd got going and I just had to carry the darned thing tied round my middle flapping in the wind).
In my previous posts I've described running along a local trail I discovered. I ran the whole thing once and got the bus back home, then worked out it was slightly up hill all the way so got the bus to the other end and ran home the next time, because I'm not as daft as I look.
Well! Today I ran there AND back. 1hr 15 mins, 9.5km.
Considering I wasn't planning on running that feels pretty good!
I got caught in a short shower but it could have been a lot worse. I'm going to have to rethink my get-up for running at this time of year, my cut off jeans were not dry yet from the last showery run.🌧
And the whole thing was accompanied by some interesting TED Talk podcasts.
Protein foods for dinner, gotta build those running legs. 10km 🔜🤗
