Ok - I needed a new challenge so tried out my local running club. I wasn’t the slowest, but they’re all quite a bit quicker than me!
Parlauf literally means ‘pair run’ where you run a relay with your pair who runs at a similar pace to you. This evening it was 6x600m, where the idea is you run as quick as you can then rest while your partner does the same.
The club seem like a nice bunch, with a nice jog before & after the relays & some pretty intense warm up moves, with a good stretch at the end.
I think I’ll try the Thursday Fartlek (google it!) and let you know how that goes🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️

I've not heard of Parlauf before but it sounds as if you enjoyed it. A little difficult to do when you're a lone runner like me. Fartleks are good, although the fast bits mean my slow intervals seem to get slower and slower, but I guess this improves over time, so enjoy.
