Farewell Canada - I will be back to run some more

My family visiting holiday is over and I fly home tonight. It's been a great trip which I will remember for my runs as much as for anything!

My first parkrun, my first 15k, lake trails, forest trails, flats and hills .... and discovering Rungo for route creation with audible navigation when I am somewhere I really don't know!

A very successful two weeks :)

I must try to be more adventurous when I get back rather than simply pavement pounding from home. The days will be shorter, but no excuses at the weekends :D

What a lovely upbeat running post and all you achieved.💥🏃‍♀️💥👏👏

Safe flight, and always mixed emotions when leaving family.

Back on the home hamster wheel then with new ideas for your running.

Take good care of you.💥🏃‍♀️💥🔥

Thanks. It will be nice to be home again of course, especially if I can make myself venture further afield :)

Sounds fantastic Linda! I might try Rungo to find somewhere different to run too! Thank you.

Well done for creating the new experiences!! Beautiful location! 😍❤️

I'm really pleased I found rungo (thanks to another forum member of course). I think it will be very useful but it will take a bit of trial and error to get all the directions need. Today was my second attempt with it and it was already more successful than my first. As it tracks where you are during the run, you can always pull the phone out and use the map to get back on track if it goes wrong - I did that a couple of times on my first use of it.

Does Rungo work back home? Funny it reminded me of that kids programme Mary Mungo and Midge. Erm, I'm going to go now...

Haha! I don't know if it works in the UK to be honest, but I think it's global. I will definitely try it out when I'm home 😀

Oh what a beautiful post, Linda! So glad you enjoyed your time running in Canada. I am green with envy! What a joy to run so many new routes. 👏👏👏 xxxx

It has been very refreshing. Home pavements are nowhere near as appealing, I will just have to make more of an effort once I'm home. Maybe you can give me a nudge if I don't get round to posting about a mini adventure somewhere different soon 😀😀😀

It's new to me too but proved really helpful. I linked trails through several parks, croasing roads on the way. No chance I could have memorised the route and I didn't want to be constantly checking my phone screen.
