Completed my first Parkrun today!

Really pleased that I completed it. 34 minutes not bad!

This is me huffing and puffing my way through πŸ˜„

Yes Shepton Mallet - I was there too! Do you live locally then? Or a visitor? I have done 4 now and am trying to do most weeks. X

Well done Thea! That’s brilliant. I’m wondering but nervous about doing my first park run... my local course has hills and I’ve only done C25k on the flat. Also, what do you do with the clothes you travel in? Is there usually a place to leave a bag?

Go for it! You can always β€œbrisk walk” some parts of it. I enjoyed the atmosphere and can really recommend . There was space to leave bags at this run, but I left my stuff with my husband πŸ˜„

Register for your barcode online and off you go!

No need to be nervous, there are lots of people cheering you on. But it's recommended to start near the back for your first parkrun and stick to your own pace. There's usually a place to leave bags, but I keep keys and money with me in my fit belt or pocket. Yes I find hills challenging too but you can walk up the hills until you get used to them. Just get a barcode and give it a go one week - you might get hooked like the rest of us.
