In fact a 3-year best of 23'49", the fastest I've gone since a 23'18" almost exactly 3 years ago (when I was only 64 ). 25 secs slower on the return leg (11'42" out, 12'07" back) which I'll put down to the steady westerly breeze along the prom, not starting too fast
And it's all down to the Plans (and probably this forum ) - I'd been 18 months just doing occasional Parkruns, without seeing a sub-25, before Dexy5 started on C25K this spring and I started jogging with her 3 times a week and Parkrunning regularly. Then she pushed me onto the Bridge ….. and fartlekking short runs and pushing the distance out on the long ones - 10k graduation on Wednesday or Thursday hopefully - has made a huge difference.
So thanks to all concerned, and may all your Parkruns be PBs (either Personal Bests or Pleasant Bimbles )

That’s great news - well done! Am so pleased something like C25k can even help established runners - amazing time anyway (I wish someday I’ll be that quick!)
I really am laughing out loud! I had not noticed my typo until your reply and yes it was the word bimble that I didn't know. I do know what a Bible is! Having typed bimble again just now, I see my text was automatically 'corrected' to Bible! And now I see that my Oxford Dictionary doesn't list bible either!!! Ah! An UpTheStanley creation and a very pleasant one at that.
