Hi all. I’ll be graduating from couch to 5k later this week. I’ve loved the programme and am already running 5k within the 30 mins 😁

I’m planning to follow ju-ju’s 10k plan next. Do you have any other advice or hints & tips on how I maintain the progression onto 10k? Thanks

That’s great! Not many folk reach 5k in 30 mins at the end of C25K! 👏👏👏

Bear in mind you are still building your running legs; the general concensus is to consolidate your running for a while by doing 3 x 5k runs a week. This will all go toward strengthening your muscles and ligaments etc. Once you are comfortable with this routine and ready for a new challenge, ju-ju’s 10k plan is perfect! Also consider working in some strength training, especially for the core and glutes. A strong body is a less injury prone one for runners!

Best of luck and happy running. 😁

Buns of steel are important for runners, that’s for sure. 😁

I'm going for the Brazilian Butt look myself. Without the waxing tho :-)

You’re already doing 5k!! Well impressed mister! 😊😊😊

Great stuff Shaky, you seem to have a very good natural pace, very few of us achieved 5K in 30 doing C25K , well done 😊

Maybe take sometime to consolidate before moving on to building to 10K as there is the terrible too's syndrome, i.e too much too soon as the body needs time to repair and recover

Obviously everyone is different and you know yourself better than anyone , listen to your body take those rest days and carry on enjoying it 😊😊
