Sorry if this is a silly question but what app is everyone using to go from 5k to 10k runs? Thanks in advance 😁

No question is ever silly , this isn't an app but a plan used by loads of people to get to 10k. Good luck 😊😊

Thank you yes I think it will definitely help to be part of a group. Just thought some people might use an app to help them get there - I found the 5k one very useful and now have a Samsung health 10k plan, not so keen on that one though as it keeps telling me I must run faster and that I am falling behind 🀣

Some people printed the plan off and stuck it to the fridge and ticked off each run as you did it.

You can go at your own pace and no one in your ear telling you to speed up or falling behind πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Ju Ju's plan is great. Remember on these forums no question is silly, everything you want to know just ask. Happy running πŸ€—

I follow ju-ju's plan but combine that with guided runs on the Nike Running Club app. It's taken the place of the C25k encouragement. I'm just not brave enough or confident enough to run without structure. Not everyone's cup of tea but works for meπŸ€”

Yes I find I do better actually with a wee app telling me when to run, walk etc. I'll have a look at the nike one πŸ‘

I'm sure you can get loads of 10k apps from the Google play store that might help you along the way.

Good luck! πŸ˜€

Ju-jus 10k plan - which I've done three times, I find it so good - is all continuous runs of different lengths. I used Mapmyrun and then moved to Strava - these apos can be set with voice notifications of time or distance, which is the only instruction you need for this plan. As a bonus you get a good record of what you've run and you can add comments to record how it felt etc. Good luck getting to your 10k 😊

I use a Garmin Watch with a link to Strava

Can ju-ju be persuaded to make a 10k app I wonder? There seems to be a gap in the market. I think the couch 25k works so well because of the encouragment you get as well as the instruction.

Yes I agree the encouragement is kind of what keeps me going back.

I swear by a combination of juju’s magic plan and Nike Running Club app. There are varying guided runs which match the distances up to 10K and beyond and the 10K guided run with Coach Bennet is brilliant at getting the pacing right in order to achieve 10K. Good luck.😊
