Hi everyone, I’ve just completed second run of the week. Just 4K today then 5K Weymouth Parkrun on Saturday and the plan’s complete 🙂🏃‍♂️

I’m going to consolidate for a few weeks, continuing the 4/5/10K pattern then decide what to do next 😀

I’m 55 today so can’t think of a better way to start the birthday celebrations in sunny Weymouth 🎂🌞😎🍾🥂

Happy running, wherever you find yourself today! 😀👏👏🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Thanks Mountaindreamer! 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be able to get under 30 mins at Parkrun on Saturday as Weymouth is easier than Croydon apparently 🙂🤞🤞

Happy belated birthday!

By the way - I looked up the East India thing with Croydon and Brighton, I was going to make a comment (on your comment, about Havelock Road etc) about street names suffering from a lack of imagination and then I realised they were probably just all named after the same people or places, and so I found out all about the East India Company's links with Croydon ... interesting!

Thanks! Yes, Croydon was apparently their base for the officers training. When that was closed Addiscombe became a very well to do area where rich merchants lived. The trains from Addiscombe were originally only 1st Class and didn’t stop anywhere on their journey up to the city.

How times have changed! 😳😒

haha, got to comment that of course it would be amazing to have any sort of decent service into the city from Croydon these days! let alone first class...🚈

Addiscombe is still a bit nice though eh.

and of course, I meant Bognor, not Brighton as per your comment. I don't know much about Bognor, only once I got thrown out of a furniture shop there...
