Struggling for motivation

Graduated but struggling to motivate myself to run 3 times a week . Is there another app which helps you beyond 5 k ?

Hi! Do you have a goal? Run further? Run faster for example? I’ve been using the nhs choices ‘speed’ podcast for some interval training (its hard work but I think it’s working) and there’s one for stamina too. Quite a few runners on here are doing Ju_ju_’s 10k plan and enjoying that challenge too. No podcast but a plan similar to the structure of c25k. I think it’s good to mix up the runs rather than just doing ‘another 5k’ once you’ve got the stage of being able to run 5k comfortably. I haven’t done a park run yet but have heard nothing but good things about doing those too. Good luck with whatever works for you.

If you are missing some structure just jump onto 10 the magic number the 10K plan. See pinned post on bridge, just put your name down with the other panther cubs and take it at your own pace.

New intake began 17/8/18 But is a rolling programme.

Completely flexible.

Try the Speed and Stamina podcasts, as they help give you structure. This running lark is also good though, for building your own sense of motivation, as you run more and the endorphins kick in, that helps with motivation for the next time too 😁. Try juju’s 10 is the magic number plan as Tbae suggests, and perhaps the running mojo will gradually creep up on you! We all struggle with motivation sometimes - it’s normal, you just have to fight the urge to not run sometimes, then once you’re out there, you wonder why you were so reluctant. Good luck, keep going, you’re doing great!
