Just did a 5k tonight and despite a few little aches and pains. - I feel fantastic. Decided to use Strava tonight and it let me down - no voice prompts so I had to run ‘blind’. I knew where the 5k mark was so decided just to run to that point and the see how I did. I decided to take it relatively easy and try to run with a little left in the tank at the end.
The run felt comfortable and I went and ran 5k in a little over 30min. Previously i would have been knackered but I think I just had one of runs where everything clicked. Can’t wait till Sunday- aiming for my first 8k 😄

I’ve used Runkeeper so far and it has been great but a lot on the forum use Strava so I thought I would give it a go. I’ll perh use both apps on Sunday 😃
I feed in my results from Fitbit to Strava because I have friends there and like the mutual kudos. However, after reading around, I got the impression that Runtastic is one of the best for voice prompts, so have that running simultaneously with Fitbit. If you can export a tcx file out of whatever is your primary resource, it is possible to import it into a lot of others.
I've just done a 5K. I started off slow and did it quicker than normal. My first bit was slower but as I went on everything clicked. At the end of the run I was less fatigued and ready for more. My 8K is on Tuesday, looking forward to it. ☺️👍
