Just back from 2 days walking about and enjoying sites of York. Done a 5k when I got back and my ankles were stiff and sore all the way I’m thinking it must be the diffferent shoes I’ve been wearing flip flops and heels at night any other ladies feel this x

Can't comment on the heels, but flip flops are known to be pretty awful for tendons etc, as you constantly scrunch the toes a bit to keep them on.

Yes I thought that and they had quite high wedges too

Flip flops 😳. They gave me an arthritic big toe I swear Don’t walk in em! Not any distance anyways

Throw away the flip flops, they're lethal for feet. As are high heels but I can't throw mine away although when I wear them now I'm always nervous in case I do myself an injury and can't run!

Strengthen your ankles - stand on one leg for up to a minute and when that gets easy close your eyes. Also foam roll your calves. Tight ankles invariably lead to tight calves.
