My recovery week plan (so far...)

Monday: cycling (commuting) 12 miles; lunchtime brisk walk 30 mins; evening recovery 5k (41mins)

Tuesday: cycling (commuting) 12 miles; evening Kettlebells class 1 hour

Weds: cycling again and a recovery 5k

Thurs: cycling and kettlebells again

Friday: chainsawing instead of cycling and yoga instead of kettlebells...

Saturday: parkrun! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβ›°πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜…

What are your recovery 5k runs recovering from? I ask as recovery runs need to be done within 48 hrs of the run you are recovering from, otherwise they are just runs hehe.

I think for me recovery means trying really hard to run a slowly as possible!

In myasics the phase after the race is called recovery. Its about graduallly getting back into regular running after pushing yourself for a race.

I think that’s what I’m doing, trying to get myself into shape for the park run whilst trying not to tear my calf muscles in the process!

I get you!! It's a nice slow run to get on your feet again. Sounds sensible thing to do! I'm not sure why being picked up because you used the "wrong" word is helpful tho 😁
