Hi All
I completed c25k in May 2018 for the second time. I completed it last year but then unfortunately strained a calf 1k into a run soon after & was out of action for a few months whilst the physio tried to put me back together........ I stopped & started over the winter moths, then began again at the beginning in April this year. I'm determined to keep it going now & have been doing consolidation runs - 3-6k after missing a couple of weeks with an infection. My challenge this year was to do a 5k event. I now think I might up that challenge to 10K event before the end of the year.
So advice please. My max distance so far is 6k this weekend. So how best to move on to 10K safety? The programmes seem to suggest intervals with walking like c25k which I know works - but I now find it harder to stop and start. So should I just keep running and add an extra few minutes a week? I run three times a week/ every other day.
Also has anyone done the Blenheim Palace 10K? There is one in October but I have read about hills...... how steep?...... There don't seem to be many 10K runs local to me so looking for somewhere nice for my first challenge!! Is there a data base of charity runs out there somewhere??
Thanks all. Happy running ๐
