First 10k this month and I loved it .

Got up at 5am yesterday and decided I was gonna get that 10k medal I'd ordered even if it killed me.

My ionic said 12.57am .WTF . I couldn't find my gone conductors or my fitbit or even my favourite Capri s but I was not going to let this stop me. Got my old belt, my phone and spare headphones 2 bottles of water and I was off.

Listening to my audio book rather than music , cos I knew this was gonna be a long one and I needed to be distracted from my own doubts. After just over 1.5km my ionic was flashing on and off and hadnt registered. So I checked thsy strava was still working on my phone , reset the ionic and set off again.

I very briefly paused after about 4 km to catch the sunrise. Briefly paused at 6km to pose with the peacock and tottled along very very happy.

At about 10km my phone went dead . Bugger. Oh well that just meant I'd got to keep running to make sure my ionic hit 10km now if I was going to get my medal.

In the end I did nearly 12km. My phone got tbe first 10km but missed the last 2. My ionic got the last but missed the first couple.

My evidence is submitted and my first 10k medal is on its way 😁 and I bloody loved my run 😁😁😁

Lol - I’ve had a few runs where I can’t find stuff, or it just stops on me half way!

Well done for not being deterred!

I’m nowhere near you’re distance yet but I’m going to look into the site you mention. Do you need an ionic to do them? Or can use Strava evidence?
