Set the alarm for an early run today, but groaned when it went off and instead had a long lie in. Eventually set off at 2:00 when it was of course, pretty hot and humid. Also decided to strike out in a different direction and try a completely different route - which proved to be quite hilly.
Anyway, that’s the excuses for the slow pace ☺️
But this was always planned to be a long one, and I did manage to keep going past the 10k marker, eventually coming to a stop (when facing yet another uphill stretch!) after 11.2km and a run of 1h 23m, so on both counts my longest run to date.
Have to say I really enjoyed it, it was a lovely route which was totally along country lanes like this one. Very peaceful, just the odd car to avoid.
Also first outing for my new FlipBelt which meant I had my phone with me (hence the pic) 😀
