After taking a lot of advise on here, and having a two week gap and struggling to get motivated to get back into it, I decided to ditch my talking timer that was talking me down my 30 mins runs and go out and just put my music and Strava on and see how I got on. First run on Tuesday wasn't my best but it wasn't my worst and I enjoyed it ! So did the same tonight...and managed a personal best ! I know I'm not fast and this does include my warm up and cool down, but now I'm enjoying my running and looking forward to going out, funny how taking the pressure off to run for 30mins has actually got me running for 30 mins and faster !

I agree with this, the talking down the 30 mins did hold me back a bit too, I’m at same stage as u I think- just managing the 5 k at moment so gon be consolidating for while yet till I get less breathless, the last 0.5k is a real struggle to finish . My first time was 45 mins, now managing 43mins 😮😮. In sayin that I find my general fitness improving greatly , just got to remember I’m a snail.... 😜😜
