We usually suggest new runners consolidate their 30 minute running for a few weeks and then ensure 5 k runs have become more routine, before trying to extend to 10k. We say it only with the aim of making sure the transition from one to the other is more risk free for new running legs.
After that the world is you oyster, your running journey can REALLY begin!

Sound advice from Millsie-J I graduated, did 3 weeks of 3 x 5k and then joined Ju-jus plan. Just started week 4 this morning, completed a 7k run last week and will be doing 8k in a few days
