Hi everyone and welcome to a new running week.

We are all so busy.....life can be hectic ........and even more so for us runners!

Fear not, here is a place to take five, and enjoy a chat about our running adventures, trials, tribulations, successes, achievements etc.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If you're a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi, without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy , healthy and well hydrated week,

Oldfloss, Ju-ju, Realfoodieclub, Bluebirdrunner and me..Millsie-J. Enjoy X

Time to talk running, love it.πŸ’₯Brillant.πŸ’₯

This is just like enquiring after my healthπŸ€”, standard reply, how long have you got.πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But I like my woodland workout buddie’s standard reply, he is a scouser, great, it’s a bonus if I wake up.πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Got to believe running is magic.

Same to you Millie and all, look forward to following all the replies.πŸ’₯πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯

My park buddie in the medical referral group, he is approaching 78- 80πŸ€”, retired chartered electrical engineer and lecturer and expatriate, you name it, ailments he has courageously battled through it,life threatening stuff.

Attends the park all the year round, it is only ever called off for very high winds.Risk assessment reasons by the sports coach.

Rain, occasional snow πŸ€”,the session is on.

Mind you we are lucky it is on the east side of holy island facing Liverpool and is magically sheltered. I live nearby on the west side facing Ireland and I cannot believe the difference in the weather just a few milesπŸ€”πŸ™ˆ

Top coat of a difference and wet vs dry. πŸ€”I can leave the house and it is raining and can have our one hour session in the woodland park completely dry.Not just the tree shelter neither.πŸ‘

Take good care of you.πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸ‘

Run because we can.πŸ‘

Have never ran with anyone before and without an app/phone..... was very different.... but good though! Looking forward to getting more KMs under my shoes and hope to try a parkrun this Saturday!

Hi, I have started my June virtual challenge which is to run, walk cycle or swim as much as you can this month. I did a 3k run this evening, just counted the running though...I am intending to go on some nice long walks ( hopefully ) but do you think I should include the warm up/down walks too. That's an extra 10 minutes of brisk walking. Do you think that's what other people will be doing?

I'm not going to count trips to the supermarket etc. but actual exercise,,, ( it will mess up my stats a bit though πŸ˜†xx

What do you think please?

Morning Jan!

Personally I would add them in, they are part of the challenge if done within your exercise routine. I think I would complete a full half k walk each end to make it easier to record.

Have a great virtual month 😎

Hi Millsie, thank you that's a good idea. I think it is roughly that, and it will give me an extra k every run I do! Didn't want to cheat, but also want to look reasonable on the leaderboard πŸ˜†πŸ˜‰xx

I won't be cycling or swimming so need every k I can muster!

Wasn’t feeling it today - even though it was cooler and a bit of light rain fell as I ran. From the off each step felt like a battle and the gremlins were particularly active. On a different day I may have just switched to a shorter run but I had told myself today had to be the long run as I won’t have time later in the week. Despite all this I came in with my usual 6min split for the 7k so clearly wasn’t as horrendous as it felt although my ankle ligaments are feeling quite niggly tonight. Overall got to be pleased I pushed through it.
