What is a good hat to run in? Never used a cap when running but the race for life next weekend is expected to be a scorcher and want to avoid too much sun exposure

I wore a cap yesterday. I usually safe it for wet weather. I’m not sure that it actually helped but at least my hair was tucked up inside and not flailing around my face irritatingly.

I have fast become a big fan of a cap this summer, never bothered before and maybe psychological but seems to be helping. Mine has a curved peek - new era brand - just looking over your shoulder to cross roads is tricky!!

Trail heads cap... Black

I got a cheap peaked running hat from amazon. It keeps the sun off my head (the day I forgot it I had mild heatstroke), is breathable and of wicking material. I had to cut down the peak because I was aware of it the whole time, but there is still enough to keep the sun out of my eyes. Honestly. I, hate wearing anything on my head, but it’s been a lifesaver in this heat.

Does anybody else immediately google any type of running gear that Oldfloss uses? ie trail heads cap, zikee belt (which annoyingly is still unavailable) 😂

I’ve been using an old Mercedes cap that my daughters ex boyfriend left here, at least he was good for something 🤣

Well it’s true but can you get stuff that’s a bit cheaper please. £15-20 for a cap?! 😂. But hey, if it’s what you use it must make me a better runner right? 🤣
