More for Flick than anyone as she was having trouble running out of track and coming to nasty busy road.
No doubt you have seen the web site but have you used MapOmeter??
(gb.mapometer.com/running) I use it to plan a route for a certain distance and it is very easy to use. I posted on the 5 k forum that I found a track besides a stream not 5 mins from where I live I did not even know was there. I now got birds & squirrels for company rather than vans & cars.
Worth having a look, free to use, free to register.

I agree Mapometer is a really useful site, free route and distance planning. I've been using it for years as its only recently that I've had a Garmin to tell me distances, I still use it though because I do still like to have a rough idea of where I'm going
Thanks for this, looks really useful. I’m following Ju-jus plan so need to map out some longer runs 😊
Oh, thanks, I'll look at that. if I do plan, I look at google maps on satellite. Mostly i like to explore without knowing where i will end up, but that wasn't a good idea the other day with the traffic belting past!
Nice site. Always good to have more sites to look at. But it did confirm my worst fears that I'm surrounded by gradients of 10%. I really do need to embrace my inner hill lover
