Well, after a stressful week or so with work, trying to get my assignment in on time and also keeping up archery (competition season) and running on Thursday night I went for a run which was just eaurgh. My legs hurt, breathing was to pot and just couldn't get it together.
However, the day before I had decided to enter the Great South Run as a way of giving myself a challenge. I am doing the Spitfire 10km early September and the Women's Windsor on 29th but not for charity. The Great South Run will be for ATLA who fund teaching adults to lip read and also train lip reading teachers.
Luckily today's run was bliss. For the first 8km (apart from the tracker not playing so in 30 minutes I ran 0.3km so had to reset it). It Pace came easily, no breathing issues and legs didn't hurt until towards the end. Think I did 12km in the end.
I have also joined a running group, so first meet will be Thursday. Its a beginners group which suits me
Amazing how much difference a couple of days make
