I had one of those runs on Sunday where I really began to mentally fade halfway through, I had a holiday blister on the arch of my foot which decided to remind me it was there at about 8k and the air was horribly warm, still and oppressive. I was really tempted to cut the run short. But then my mind wandered onto a Tedx talk I worked on last year by the cyclist Lee Craigie, as it often does, and it helped me push through the midway enthusiasm dip. I actually cut the talk before I started running and found it inspiring then—even more so now. I figured it might inspire someone else out there too, so here it is (Don't be put off by title, relevant to all!)

She's pretty amazing. I like her comment about getting to the end so that the cup of tea tastes amazing. I hope you had a fab cuppa at the end :). Also now I have watched her, my morayshire brogue is going to come out all day long before I switch back to my normal unidentifiable english accent.
