Yesterday morning was a hot sticky one and I had a longer run planned. Fortunately I had my 1960s playlist on, and when Johnny B. Goode came on I was off…
Up in sunny Luton, Capability Green,
Highway maintenance were being oh so mean.
They closed off my planned footpath put me in a bad mood
I felt like going home, it wasn’t going good.
The sun was getting hotter, it wasn’t going well,
My running felt quite sluggish I was no gazelle.
☀️☀️☀️
Don’t slow!
Go Razzy go go
Go Razzy go go
Go Razzy go go
Go Razzy go go
Razzy B. Goode.
🏃🏽♀️
I’m running down a steep road, it’s an out and back.
And then along the path beside the railway track.
The trees are bending over, there’s some welcome shade.
I settle in a rhythm as my music played.
This song came on my playlist, in my head it stayed,
It helped me with my gremlins on my run today.
🎶
You know
Gremlins can go go
Go Razzy go go
Go Razzy go go
Razzy run good.
🏃🏽♀️
I’ve set myself a target, and I hope I can
Keep going to the midway, oh well that’s the plan.
I get to 8 km and then turn round
A young man speeds right passed me, like a swift greyhound.
Maybe someday I will run with feet so light,
But for now I’ll just make sure I’m home all right.
🏃♂️
Stay slow
Go Razzy go go
Razzy be good.
🏃🏽♀️
And now I’m at the bottom of that big steep road
!
The thought of running up it is a big NO NO!
I’ll run a little further till I reach my goal
,
Then after 15k right up the hill I’ll stroll.
😰😅😅
Go go
Go Razzy go go
With legs full of woe
Go Razzy go
Go get you home
Razzy you’re good.
