Down in Dorset today for some bucket and spade time for the kids. Planning to do less this week due to sore foot but couldn’t come here and not run.
Had a couple of routes in mind but as I have only my trails (taking two pairs of runners was vetoed) I went for the coastal path.
Those of you who run hills regularly have my utmost respect. An elevation gain of less than 50m is my usual so 200m was a bit of a shock. Quite a bit of walking and photo taking stops required.
Great run though. Nice sunny morning and hardly anyone about at 7am. Foot mostly held up but didn’t like the steep, rocky path down at the end.

I did from the pier, westwards past the globe ball thing to the lighthouse and back via the caves and it was a real shock to the system, given I am used to the flat fens. This was about 3 weeks back in the scorching heat. I also did a run along the front down past the private beach bit and up the headland the other side of the bay. Lovely runs.
