Good run at Saturday's PR with nephew, was a warm one, but being well hydrated felt good, just the watch to click on and off at start & finish, and a nice cup of lemon & ginger tea and good chat afterwards.. with nephew telling me he thinks it's another Pb! Which it was, under 24 mins! ๐.... he works very hard with his running club during the week, so is well deserved.. No such luck for me! But am I bothered?? Not really! ๐
Lovely sunny Parkrun: Good run at Saturday's... - Bridge to 10K
Lovely sunny Parkrun
Love the ParkRun! Well done to you and your nephew too. If I could get anywhere near 30 minutes Iโd be happy, let alone in the 20s ๐
My nephews 44, he started doing PR nearly 2 years ago and done one just about every week, now completed about 90 runs, when he first started them his times were in the lower 30s. which plateaued for a while at just under 25 mins, then he joined a running club which motivated him to run further and faster to stay with the other runners, which is what he wanted, allthough a tad tiring at first it's paid off..
Thatโs amazing! Iโve only 78 ParkRuns to do to catch up ๐
Keep at it! I'm at 46 runs, so up for a red shirt soon..๐
My aim is a red shirt! Havenโt missed one since starting so maybe after Xmas ๐
Go Dave.... brilliant run for you and the Young one, ( well younger than me) .... and soon.. Slinky will be out there pacing you both xxxx
Well done to both of you - sounds like your nephew is a natural runner! Great time!๐
