Hi there and welcome to the third week of the April quest. How are you all doing with your goals?π₯
What the Quest is:-
The Quest takes one month . You can join any time, within those weeks.
The main aim of the Quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.
I ask that you will be a Graduate to join the Quest. The main reason I ask this, is that while you are doing the programme, your plan is very structured, so I wouldn't want the Quest to interfere with that.
Most popular goals are:-
To run three times a week
To slowly increase distance
To train for a specific race
To add In Stretch and Strength exercises
As you can see they are personal to yourself and it's totally your own choice.
Every week I will pin a new post, where all the members of the Quest can talk about how things are going.
So if you wanted to join all you have to do is put;
I would like to join the Quest, or count me in, and then I would like to. ..............
Your name will then be added to the top post and every week your name will be in the Quest until the end.
At the end of the Quest, there will be a certificate that you can download to keep.
Happy Panthering

Oh no- I hope you're feeling better soon. Weirdly I had what I thought was conjunctivitis early this week and then it just disappeared so assumed it was an allergy?!
Well despite being back at work I have managed to stick to running on alternate days and I completed my longest run to date (7k) last weekend and am hoping to go a bit further on Sunday.
Am really enjoying the sun - and hope for more trail running (minus mud) soon.
The quest has always been around but now l can actually 'see' it. My HM training is nearly done, I mean, it was done months ago but l then decided to do it all over again. Previously I repeated the whole couch program and drilled 10k before claiming the bling, so it's not exactly a surprise that I'm doing the same with HM. I LOVE drills and repetitions. And preparations.
Last weekend l did the prep run route to make the mental notes and l enjoyed it like a kid. I think that's the whole point.
Unless l change my mind and go back to some more training l will be hitting some fabulous routes around London in May. Running alone as always!
Where do you find these pictures, Ju? This chap looks like he's running a bit... free. I'd like the first chap back, please - or is he still on his way to me?
Oh, the Quest? Oh, yeah Um - I ran, I think. I was in France at my mum's so it wasn't very exciting but I did an out-and-back past the horses and the windmills, and I've managed a quick run this morning in amongst the conference calls
I'm hoping all will be well for the Longhorn this weekend, although 10k feels like a long way when I'm still not feeling quite right. But if I have to walk bits of it, that's okay - as long as I get that bling!
Ooh, I liked Badedas! Can you still get it, do you think? Would it be any good for an after-run bath, or should I stick to my Body Shop seaweed gloop? (Badedas was horse chestnuts, wasn't it?)
Ah, you havent seen my Badedas posts then. Yes you can still get it, it looks and smells exactly the same, I always use it after a run, and Im still waiting for the flipping horseman to turn up, invade my bathroom and carry me off πππ
Well.. running three times a week.. a bit more actually.. ( I have started to run 1K every day ) and I completed the 10K which was the object for me, of this quest...this morning.. back where I wanted to be.. thanks Ju...
My target of 25 miles this month was hit this morning, I have now done 27miles in April. Plus my first 10km this morning. So, now to stick to running three times a week
Hmmm, a bit late reporting on this and would have had a happier story to tell then. Two days of behaving like a normal person and everything has rather fallen apart almost without me realising. The squats, the food recording (that's not helped by the tech not working well), the daily dog walk/run [interestingly Google may be feeling a bit the same as one day I walked down the hill with her but as soon as I let her off the lead down by the river she headed for home instead!] And I've not made it out for any kind of longer run... and this week isn't looking good.
However, I shan't panic, keeping calm and getting back to carrying on. Blip, blip, blip.
You've just reminded me - day 23 (I missed 1st April) of my "Seven" app 7-minute workout today. No time to do it before breakfast today so I'd better do it now, just after dinner (could be interesting). Don't want to break my streak...
Have done a 2k run, a 3.5ish k run and a 6k run. Still plagued by lack of sleep so Im really noticing the lack of energy when I run. No point keep taking weeks off: if I did that I would never run at all. I had pins and needles in my fingers and hands today about an hour after running. Never had that before, but apparently itβs nothing to worry about. Todayβs run (posted separately) was lovely because so sunny and spring like.
