Hi all, I think it's time to make my first post on the B210K community, after enjoying the C25K one so much!
I first graduated C25K in 2012 and ran a few 5k races, thoroughly enjoying being the fittest I've ever been at age 40! Injuries and life happened in the meanwhile and I found myself unfit and struggling towards the end of 2017. A serious warning from my GP and the prospect of becoming a father (better late than never...) brought back my focus on keeping fit and healthy and I started back on the C25K, which I graduated in the middle of the Beast from the East in late Feb.
I've since been trying to increase my distance, and after hitting 5k shortly after my graduation and a few more 5k runs, I started gradually increasing my distance loosely (and I mean very loosely) following the pattern of @Ju-ju's schedule.
Yesterday I ran up to 7.49km and it felt great! Despite all the aches today,I can't wait to try and get some more distance in!
The only run in my village is a 10k in June, and I think I might just about make it!
Thanks to everyone participating in this community for your insights and encouragement, it really helps knowing that I'm not the only one having these challenges!
Keep running strong!
