My legs have never been more rested since starting c25k back in early jan. Back from New York Monday afternoon but had to sleep yesterday weather terrible. Today well rested weather not great but managed 8k so well chuffed. My next 2 runs will be shorter this week. Just shows you how a good rest does do you good xxx

I had a nearly 9 day rest as I was burnt out. Come the day b4 I started to run again I was wondering if I had lost any form and was chomping at the bit. Not to worry as my legs did not hurt or ache at all,it was the best thing that I could of done.

Having 2-3 days off if you feel tired and run down is just not enough. The seasoned runners on forum do suggest a weeks rest from running. In fact trainers & running mags do say a week off is really part of your training as it allows body to fully recover. I think it must be about a couple of months ago I had a weeks rest and at the moment I am ok. As soon as I start to feel I have not recovered from one run to the next I will stop again for another week.
